PADI Dive Courses
Coral Grand Divers offers all PADI dive courses from beginner to professional levels in Chinese, Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Swedish and Thai.
The underwater world of Thailand is filled with curious looking creatures of all sizes, colors and shapes. From the petite Clownfish in it's Sea Anemone host to the gentle sea Turtle that feeds on the sponges and underwater plants. All of this is awaiting your discovery once you become a scuba diver.
At Coral Grand Divers, skills are introduced in a safe and relaxed environment in our large swimming pool or secluded bay. All courses are performance-based, allowing you to progress at a pace you feel comfortable with. We put a lot of emphasis on making the experience enjoyable and fun to make you feel at ease.
The confidence you gain from your training will have you prepared and excited for your first Open Water dives.
DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING (DSD) – BAHT 3,000
This DSD course is designed for those who would like to try a diving experience during their
vacation without having to commit to a course or who are unsure as to whether diving would
be an enjoyable experience for them. DSD involves 1-pool dive and 2-dives to a maximum
depth of 12m (36ft) under the guidance of a certified PADI Instructor or 6m (18ft) under the
guidance of a certified PADI Divemaster. This programme begins at 9:30am daily.
BOOK PADI DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING PROGRAM
PADI SCUBA DIVER (SD) – BAHT 7,000
The SD course is specifically designed for those who do not have the time or do not wish to
spend 4-days studying and training during their vacation. This is a 2-day course involving
three academic sessions, three-confined water sessions (swimming pool or bay), and two
open water dives to a maximum depth of 12m (36ft). Although certified as a PADI SD, this
license requires that PADI Scuba Divers must dive under the supervision of a PADI
professional. This course begins at 2pm daily and includes:
•PADI OW Manual & RDP Dive Table
•CGD Logbook
•International PADI Certification
PADI OPEN WATER DIVER BRONZE (OW)
MAXIMUM GROUP SIZE – SIX STUDENTS – BAHT 7,700
The Open Water course (OW) is the first entry-level course to PADI certification; is a 4-day
course; consists of five academic sessions, five confined water sessions (swimming pool or
bay), and four open water dives to a maximum depth of 18m under the guidance of a
certified PADI Instructor. After completion of the OW course, students become
internationally recognized certified divers and may then dive without professional
supervision. This course begins at 2pm and includes:
•PADI OW Manual & RDP Dive Table
•CGD Logbook
•International PADI Certification
PADI OPEN WATER DIVER SILVER (OW)
MAXIMUM GROUP SIZE – TWO STUDENTS/COUPLE – BAHT 12,000
As per above, except that this course is designed specifically with couples/newly weds in
mind who wish to undergo private and exclusive tuition with their PADI Instructor.
The Open Water course (OW) is the first entry-level course to PADI certification; is a 4-day
course; consists of five academic sessions, five confined water sessions (swimming pool or
bay), and four open water dives to a maximum depth of 18m under the guidance of a
certified PADI Instructor. After completion of the OW course, students become
internationally recognized certified divers and may then dive without professional
supervision. This course begins at 2pm daily and includes:

PADI NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC OPEN WATER DIVER GOLD (NGC-OW)
WITH PADI NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC
SPECIALTY DIVER
MAXIMUM GROUP SIZE – SIX STUDENTS – BAHT 15,500
The PADI National Geographic Open Water course (NGC-OW) is a very exclusive certification
course that is a 6-day and 8-dive course. As per the standard OW course, the NGC-OW
consists of five academic sessions, five confined water sessions (swimming pool or bay), and
four open water dives to a maximum depth of 18m under the guidance of a certified PADI
Instructor. After successful completion of the OW section course, students undergo a further
2-days of training consisting of 3-NGC dives that include reef mapping, marine-life
identification as well as further neutral buoyancy training. The fourth dive of this course is
a FREE Deep Adventure Dive that will allow students to dive up to 30-metres during
training and up to 40-metres with experience. The Deep Adventure Dive also goes towards
any future PADI Advanced Open Water course worldwide. This course begins at 2pm daily
and includes:

TYPICAL SCHEDULE
Day 1. Arrive at Koh Tao Coral Grand Resort. After you've checked in and had a look around the resort, then meet your instructor at 2pm.
Complete some paper work and watch Padi Videos 1-3.
Day 2. Spend the morning completing theory modules 1-3. During the afternoon confined water session modules 1-3 and lots of fun in the swimming pool. Finish the day watching Padi videos 4-5 if you are doing the full Open Water Course.
Day 3. Spend the morning completing theory modules 4-5. During the afternoon enjoy your first 2 dives, maxium depth 12 meters. If you are doing the Scuba Diver Course then your two open water dives would be completed in the afternoon and you would then be a PADI SCUBA DIVER,
Day 4. Complete the final exam in the morning. Spend the afternoon doing the third and forth dive of the course, maxium depth 18 meters. YOU ARE NOW A PADI OPEN WATER DIVER.

PADI ADVENTURE DIVER (ADV) – BAHT 6,000
The Adventure course (Adv) is 1-day course for those who do not have time to complete
their Advanced Open Water course but still wish to walk away with a certification that
allows them to enjoy an even greater experience and deeper diving. This involves 3-dives,
normally a deep dive to a maximum depth of 30m (100ft), an underwater naturalist dive,
and a night dive. This course begins at 10am daily and includes:

•International PADI Certification

PADI ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER (AOW) – BAHT 8,500
The Advanced Open Water Course (AOW) is a 2-day course that takes the Open Water Diver to the next level. This course offers 5 dives of which the deep dive and the underwater navigation dive are mandatory dives whilst the student may select any 3 dives such as photography, search & recovery, peak performance buoyancy, night diving, naturalist to name just a few.
After completion of the AOW course, the student receives AOW certification and may dive to a maximum depth of 40m (120ft) with experience.
TYPICAL
SCHEDULE
Day 1. AM: Meet your instructor for course orientation. During the afternoon complete your navigation dive and one elective dive.
Day 2. Early morning sunrise dive, Deep Dive plus one elective dive. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon of free time before meeting your instructor at 6pm for a Night dive. You are now a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver

PADI RESCUE DIVER (RESC) + EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONSE – BAHT 14,000
The PADI Rescue Diver (Resc) takes AOW divers towards entirely new level of diving where
managing and preventing problems to others makes the Rescue Diver a much more aware
diver. Probably the most satisfying of all PADI courses, the PADI Rescue course is a 3-day
course that involves academic and rescue scenarios that raises the diver’s level of
confidence in their own abilities to assess, handle and manage emergencies. This course
includes:

Emergency First Response
The Emergency First Response (EFR) course is a pre-requisite to entering the PADI Rescue
Diver course in which the student learns to manage everyday general accidents, dive
emergencies, and CPR. This is a 1-day academic course beginning at 9am daily and
includes:
•EFR Manual, Cpr Pocket Mask
•International EFR Certification
